Re: 270win load

Get a reloading manuel and study it, be wary of load info you get off the internet from other reloaders. IMR-4350 is the powder I use for 270 win. and 130gr bullets. There are others of course that will work just fine.

I reload 130 Nosler BT's in my .270. I use H4350 and Win 760 powder.

Re: 270win load

H-4831 with the 130 is the cat's meow in any .270 I've seen... me and several buddies shoot it, with various 130 grain bullet makes. It's a great load combo.

I use CCI BR2 primers and Norma brass.

I am shooting 60 grains under a 130 grain Nosler Partition. Start much lower and work up. I get bughole accuracy out of my .270 with this load, and so do many others who have tried it.

I am getting great velocity as well with this load, and it's deadly in the woods.

Good luck!

Re: 270win load

I load Reloader 22 with 130gr bullets in my 270. Very accurate in my rifle. My encore rifle barrel like H4350 powder.

Re: 270win load

My 270 likes IMR4831 better than H4831 with 130gr ballistic tips. I use 55.5gr.

For 140gr accubonds and SST's, I use 56gr of AA3100 with IMR4350 coming in second for accuracy

Re: 270win load

60 gr. H4831 under any good 130 grain bullet is the defacto recipe for handloading the .270, and has been for 60 years or better. Very few guns will not shoot that load well.
