M1 Garand Reloading Info

I am new to owning & shooting a Garand and have a couple of questions:
~Is the Greek ammo sold by the CMP reloadable?
~Any suggested load data for the Garand?
Thanks

Re: M1 Garand Reloading Info

Yes, the brass is reloadable.

The standard reload for the Garand in somewhere around 47.0gr of IMR-4895 and 150gr FMJ's.

You have to be careful with your powder selection as the M1 Garand was designed around a certain gas pressure.

Does the Greek brass use large rifle primers?

Re: M1 Garand Reloading Info

greek uses large rifle. in addition, like all military ammo the primer is crimped or staked or chemically sealed or combinations. that means primer pockets will need to be worked on to remove these. greek is usually mildly staked so easy to clean up. lake city requires major work in this area. just saying.
