Forgot the magnum primers

I just reloaded a batch of .30-06 with 165 grain NBT's. I'm working with 760 powder and I noticed too late it calls for magnum primers. What can I expect out of a ball powder like 760 and standard primers?

Re: Forgot the magnum primers

I would guess inconsistency in velocity, but how much I can't say.
Are you shooting them off a bench or hunting with them?

Re: Forgot the magnum primers

You should expect them to go off. You might want to check them for accuracy as they may not shoot the same as your previous load.

Your near a max load, but I wouldn't think 56 grains would require a magnum primer anyway. I don't use magnums for my 3006 or 2506.

But they will all go boom as previously stated.

Re: Forgot the magnum primers

If it was a slower powder, you may experience more trouble.

You might likely find it shoots better from your gun.

Re: Forgot the magnum primers

So there should be no need to disassemble these?
