300 savage loading

I have dies that I bought at a garage sale for next to nothing even though I dont have a 300 savage well a reletive wants me to load some 125gr b-tips for his. he has a 700 classic and wants something a little faster than factory 150's just to be a little flatter and make his 300 a 200-250 yard gun since a miss on monday at that range. does anyone have any experience with this round/bullet combination?

It may be a poor choice of words but I am smart enough to understand what you meant.

Re: 300 savage loading

I load my 125 grain B-tips in my .30-06 to 2950 fps which you should be able to get close to that in your .300 Sav. I shot a big doe on Sat. at 125 yards and I hit her a little bit low. Well that Nosler B-tip did enough internal damage that the vitals still got trashed anyway. The exit wound was incredible. I couldn't be more pleased with this bullet.
