Wanted .300 savage relloads.

Wondering if someone would be interested in makeing up a box for me. I can only find remington and winchester 150's. Looking to maybe have a boattail or something else to give me a option. I have about 4 boxes of cases. Thanks Evan

trade it in for a 308 winchester or a something that suits you.

well if ya can't ammo for it that gives more options then what good is it? And besides, what's wrong with a 150 grain bulet?

Pavarmit, What type of gun are you shooting. Lever, bolt pump. Love the cartridge, old nostalgic. I personally dont think you can beat a 150 grn bullet from this gun. Garand, the 300 kills them just as dead as the .308 but makes you feel like an old timer when u do it. Nothing like the classics. Pav if you are ever in Pgh. I'll be happy to show you how to do your own.

Re: Wanted .300 savage relloads.

150 out of a .300 Savage should drop any deer it hits in proper area. Don't get too involved with the newest fads and don't get overboard with the gun writers blatherings. If you were hunting moose, elk or African plains game then I would worry a bit and go to premium slugs. If your rifle shoots the 150's well, enjoy them and relax.

Re: Wanted .300 savage relloads.

My brother in law shot a small button buck one year with a 130 grain 06'. Had to chase it down the ridge, through a feild, over a road, through someone elses property, across the river, to finally shoot it again. He respnse was " I know I shot right"...

The 130 and 150's are weak SD. A 165 or better will do it.

The 130's and 150's are short bullets, and will not expand enough.
