reloading bench question.....

Alright, guys. Ergonomics question, here.

Spent about a half-hour at the bench tonight and can already feel a little twinge in my shoulder.

Set me to thinking about proper bench height.

I'm using an RCBS Rockchucker press.

Any tips or pointers as to table top height? I'm thinking I need to raise it a few inches, but I don't really want to trial and error fit the bench if I can avoid it.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, get an adjustable height office chair. I have a table and bench of different heights, so instead of two seats taking up room I have one of those armless office chairs. Push a lever and it goes up, set on it, push the lever and it goes down. The padded seat and backrest is a plus.

My bench is kinda high...above my waist...probably bottom of my ribs?

It will differ with your height and build though...what's comfortable for me might not be for you....I've never ran more than 50 at a time though....

I load standing...just easier for me I guess..

I think that was my break from habit.

I'm trying to get back to handloading after about a 5 year break.

If I remember right, I USED to work from a stool or chair, but I didn't this time.

Mid-chest height is almost where I was thinking, actually.

I like the adjustable chair idea, thanks. I will have to seriously look at that one.
