I've had luck using 25gr with 55gr NBT's in 3 different 223's. It shoots well enough in all three that I haven't even tried any other combo/charge

Re: H335

If that doesn't give you the groups you want, give BL-C2 a try. About 5 years ago when I bought a Contender barrel, I was thru about a zillion powder\bullet combo's and about ready to sell the barrel when someone suggested BL-C2.

I loaded up about 10 rounds a grain or so under the max shooting Hornady 40gr. V-max. and set the OAL to the Hornady book.

I shot all 10 in one ragged hole. Now, I'm not saying your barrel will like BL-C2, or do that....but after 2 months of frustration....it sure made my day and many groundhogs were very saddened by this find!!!

Good luck!!

Re: H335

Thanks very much for your replies. Just haven't been out and about to pick up the Hornady manual. I have a few loaded with 24 grains so I'll go from there.
