Anyone mess with light 30 cal loads?

I am just getting into reloading and was thinking of maybe trying to work up some loads for my rem 700 30-06 bdl rifle for groundhogs for fun. I have my 22-250 which shoots 1 hole groups on the bench at 100 yards. My cousin has been reloading for me so this is how we got the 22-250 shooting. We also came up with some good deer loads for the -06. So I figure since those guns are suited pretty well I need something else to mess with. So without buying another rifle I thought about playing with some light weight loads to take the 06 out for some summer chuck action. Was looking at using something like the 110 grain v max or 100 grain sierra. Anyone have much luck with these light bullets? Thanks!

Try 130 Speer TNT in the 06.

I used the 110 v-max ina 06, took forever to get it "ok" nothing great, ended up with ramshot powder and federal primers and was under 1" at 100 but no much under.

It may be a poor choice of words but I am smart enough to understand what you meant.

Sounds like a good excuse for me to get another 22-250 just in a sportier barrel then. Thanks for the input!
