Do you get items from on line. I order from 1 of 2 places. I won't name them but their initials are
MW or MS.
I just went to both site to compare prices on a couple of items like bullets, primers and powder.
bullets like 165 grain Sierras-MS price-$29,MW price-$32/a hundred.
CCI 200 primers-MS-$27.50,MW-$32.29 per thousands.
Powder-IMR-4895 a pound-MS-$23,MW-$26.
To me that's a heck of a difference in prices?
I used to order Powder, primers and Bullets online all the time. Powder Valley has great service, like RobOz says though, you need to order enough to make it worth you while.
Since the Obama and Sandy Hook scare things have been hard to get, I have looked local a lot more and have found plenty of great suppliers. The trouble is now when you find it you better grab it. My job requires a lot of travel across PA so when I know I'm headed somewhere like Lebanon or Ebensburg I call ahead and see what they have in stock on powder and Primers.
Sinclair/Brownells has an excellent promotion, join the Edge program and it's free shipping, I'm sure they don't wave Haz Fee's but man it's a sweet deal. They also have a super excellent return policy.
I'd list a few local suppliers but I'm not sure forum rules would allow it
Go to the clearance section on MW's site, then click on reloading supplies, left side pick what you want bullets, brass, powder etc...you can get some amazing deals on great bullets including tsx's and partitions..it changes from day to day..the best deals are the bulk packed blems..absolutely nothing wrong other than a tarnished finish or off colored tip, nothing major... Clearance first and then click on sale...can't be beat
I don't see any value in it for powder or primers.I bought 5 pounds of different powders for $27.95 each.I also bought 2000 small and large rifle primers for $27.95 each at a local shop.Yep I paid tax.Online some places don't charge tax. It's your responsibility to do so at tax time.Don't think you will get caught?I'm okay with that but your local community suffers and local businesses. The state of Pa caught and taxed people buying cigarettes online. Some owed thousands of dollars.Your roads, schools, property taxes suffer from a dropping sales tax revenue. Why do you think they smacked gas again with a big tax and tripled the cost of inspection stickers?Which by the way go up every 2 years for eternity now.But I buy stuff online and pay the taxes if not taxed at point of sale.Mostly bullets.
