The PGC most likley won't have anything to do with checking permits since they don't enforce tresspass. Also,Since the hunters hunting the property don't own it,interupting someone's hunt to check for a permit is was to get pinched for hunter harrasment.

I've got my application in. Wonder how many will be signed up when it's all said and done.

My guess is you'll see county cops in the parking areas only. They won't go in the woods, never have. I use to run into the game commission quite a bit when coming out, prior to them posting.

2362 acres open to hunting. 157 permits to be issued. Supposed to give an average of 15 acres per hunter.

I hunted it alot prior to it being posted and if policed it could become what it once was. There is a ton of forage in this area oak stands primarily. I know the area well and wish all luck. If you run into another hunter ask to see the permit. If they don't have it call that is the only way to do this right. Also expect a heavy PGC and ACP presence to ensure it is being hunted only by those permitted.

So you are saying the already low staff of the PGC and all the Urban unlawful hunting done in Pittsburgh that the wardens are going to focus heavy on this... not going to happen. As it sounds many of the 2B hunters on here were already doing or at least "knew" someone who was.

15 acres a hunter lol. Its gonna be a zoo. Someone is gonna kill the big bucks in their back yards or the bucks will go to a point on the property minus intrusion. Big bucks arent just gonna mope around in daylight in front of a pile of guys in every nook and cranny.

I predict a fist fight before end of season. I dont care if theres 10,000 acres. Theres only so many prime spots to kill a good buck. 10 good hunters could make 2000 acres look like a postage stamp.

When they get these properties that have the ability to produce a quality animal they should sell preference points to them like big game elsewhere. Nah, just open the flood gates like they did to SGL 333 which now [censored].
