I am heading up to Bradford County (Troy, PA) this weekend to deer hunt at my buddies farm and was going to bring my EP so see if we can find some grouse and or woodcock. Anyone have any recommondations on SGL hunt up there that I might be able to move some birds? In general how is the bird population up there?

Not what I would call a banner year for grouse...

From Troy area SGL's 239 123 289 and 37 in Tioga Co will all have grouse and probably some woodcock as well...

Good luck and enjoy your hunt

Our camp is next to SGL 219 in warren center east of troy. There are grouse and woodcock there. Need the dog to find them tho. Be warned thast as soon as you unload the gun and drive away you find them along the road as well as pheasants. Happens a lot as we drive thru gamelands

219 would be a ways from Troy but another SGL that would have a grouse/woodcock hunters interest... 219 had quite a habitat improvement project directed toward woodcock comfort grin

Comfort stations for woodcock? What will they think of next?
