Hey guys, I am looking to upgrade my .22, which hasn't been shot in years, with a new scope. I am considering either the Nikon Pro Staff rimfire 3-9 or the BSA Sweet .22. Looking to use it a lot more next season for hunting small game.

Leaning towards the Nikon, as I really like my one pro-staff.

the gun is a Marlin Model 25N, by the way

thanks

I have a BSA illuminated 3 X 9 power on my 22 WMR. What an outstanding scope for fox... I like it!!

Muller 4 X 12 APV are also great rimfire scopes..Again cheap. I even have one of these on my 308 Win and puttting one on a 22250 too!!!

CK out Weavers Classic Rimfire line. Put a 2.5-7(#849431 2.5-7x28) Matte Dual-X on my CZ 452 American 22LR & love it! Top shelf glass for the money.

As Loggy said, check out the new Weaver line. Great scopes.

My old Marlin 25N wears an ancient Weaver D6. And it still puts all 7 out of the clip in one ragged hole at 50 yards. I haven't touched the adjustments in about 15 years.

As an aside, you may want to try the CCI Mini-Mag Hp's in that Marlin.....They have proven the most accurate out of mine, My brother-in-laws, and my best friend's. 2 Marlin 25's and a Glenfield.

Of the ones you have listed I'm a fan of the Nikon myself. Great optics and the rimfire BDC reticle you can't go wrong.

Nikon has a $50 rebate on some of their 22 Pro Staff scopes.

BTW if you don't want to spend a lot of money then look at the Simmons 22 Mag scope. You can find it for about $50 and it is a nice scope.

I got the simmons 3-9x32 22 mag dogface mentioned on my marlin. It was $45.99 at my local gun shop. Nice little scope and all you need for a squirrel gun. Cool thing to is it comes with rings.
