That's what I was going to ask until I saw the last post. You bettersend that video to the game commission for verification because I thought muskrats were extinct in this state!

I saw one the other day when I was beaver trapping. There were rat turds on about every log in that area.
Saw a mink cross the rd this week, too, in broad daylight, a male looked like. Breeding season!

Old Timy Alert Proceed with caution

Until 20-25 years ago, rats were as plentiful as all get out around here. Old Herbie lived down the hill from me when I was a kid. He was a grown man with a good job on the Turnpike so he didn't have much time for trapping. One season opener he took all his traps, all 12 #1 Victor longsprings, and set then a couple of hundred yards from his house in an old section of the Union Canal and a tiny pond about the size of the average living room. [Stop me if you've heard this before] The next morning, Sunday morning, be-darned if Herbie didn't run the table. All 12 traps scored a rat. One check, 12 rats. I caught many-a-rat, but I never tied or beat that record.

I wish the rats would come back the way they where. I saw one the other day and just sat and watched it.
