Hi Guys:
I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on purchasing the right size wading boots. I recently ordered a pair of waist high breatable waders from Cabela's but I didnt get the boots yet. Should I buy a size bigger or just get the size I am wearing? Thanks in advance, Jim Reilly

Go 1 size bigger if the waders have Neoprene feet.

I prefer a taller boot for added ankle support.

Still using felts with studs for traction.

Korkers make a nice boot...

This is something you would hopefully be able to try on before purchasing, and yes bring your waders to the store to try the boots out. Some companies like Caddis for instance purposely mark their boots 1/2 size smaller than normal to compensate for neoprene booties.

I own the cabelas waist high waders, really like them. I ended up going 2 sizes larger on the boots (cabelas). I tried them on at the store with heavy socks and one size larger was just too tight. 1 1/2 size larger would have been perfect for me, but they don't make them in half sizes.

Thanks guys:
I take a 10 1/2 shoe so maybe a 12 might be good.

Simms boots are true to fit. If you wear a 10.5 get an 11 in simms.
