Any one use tube calls on a regular basis? I don't think they have the popularity as pot, box, and mouth calls. Yet I read good things about them by those that use them.

I have one by quaker boy.. lesson learned... don't leave the latex reed on it between season.. dry rotted! lol as far as sound goes, it's as good as the man behind it. I have a buddy that uses one to call geese.. that's right.. geese... and he sounds EXACTLY like a darn goose... I used my a little last year, but was jsut learning, so didn't have great success. but it's like any other call. practice and get comfortable with it, gain confidence in your calling with it and it'll be successful...

Deadly in the right hands....

They can be tough to tune properly.

It takes a bit of practice time to see how they work & to learn to run one properly....There isn't allot of instructions available about tuning or using them, either..

They aren't a favorite call of allot of people, but the ones that use them, are very good w/ them.

Very true Ole' Raspy. They are a very unique sounding call but are a little tricky to tune and the latex tends to stretch out and go out of tune fairly quick. But, when it's right on, it sounds great. Makes great jake "kelks".

The jake kee's and gobble combo will make ya want to find a seat in a hurry, too......

Snozz has done that to me more then once w/ his tube call.....

Anyone have a link to a good video of tuning or using one? I recently got one, but my learning curve to date looks like a big circle!

I love 'em! Yes, they are a pain to use because you constantly have to fiddle with the reed but its a sound that gobblers rarely hear.

And you can get downright LOUD on them!

I've never used one, but I've been kicking around the thought of buying one. I'm guessing in the right hands it would be another valuable tool in the turkey mans toolbox.
