Again, been promised that all thru history. Never will happen, so, don't expect it from any of them.
During the last election, and keep in mind I'm from a conservative part of Lancaster County, my customers, in general, were so fed up with Bush, that they just wanted him out and nothing to do with McCain. They just wanted to change, sorta like chaing yer underwear. Just do it.
I can say I never saw the electorate in my area, heavy Repubicans, so fed up with a Republican.
The mantra was, "anyone but what we just had." Yeah, how'd that work out for 'em?  The Republic will survive, heck, it might even prosper. Survive? Based on what you wrote, I don't see how you can believe that! We are shackled with a failed two-party system that everybody believes are two sides of the same coin. We presently have a radical, activist president surrounded by left-wing extremists who are bent on "reshaping" America into their socialist nightmare with a chief executive of dictatorial powers who is in love with his own visage and voice! No, I will not fall for the crap "oh, he's no worse than those before him". Blame Bush for what you will - his mission, as he saw it, was to destroy America's enemies - BHO sees America AS the enemy! At least not the America that I, and I believe you also, know and love. Survive? No, we won't survive ... oh, we may for the next four years ... but how long can we last if all that I see you complaining about continues? Excellent post!

america is more like a cruise ship than a ski boat. it can be turned around, but it will take some time. even going straight ahead on the same course, it will take some time to hit the rocks. but it will hit those rocks unless we start turning now.

we got Bin Laden ( I say WE as a Naval Officer!) in spite of Obama's policies, not because of them.

Who gave the order to kill Bin Laden? Are you serious about this? Kudos to him for giving the order but what president wouldn't have??? Is there some sort of hidden message in there that Bush knew where he was but refused to give the order? Is this going to be Obama's platform for re-election? "I got Bin Laden so vote for me". What is your point exactly? I don't it.
