Wow, surely is a small World!! My Brother has a Left-Handed Flinter He built and I have a little 410 Double Barrel and a Full stock Flinter he made. These were from back in the 80`s ?? His Son has one of the nicest Yeagers, That His dad built, I`ve ever seen. Heck of a Mandolin player too. Thanks a lot for the Info and picture.

His Son has one of the nicest Yeagers, That His dad built, I`ve ever seen. I remember when Beryl built that Jaeger. It surely is an INCREDIBLE gun !!! I never knew where it ended up. Heck of a Mandolin player too. Yep !!! And he built the mandolin, too, if I recall correctly.

So happens that at our Rhondevouse, Jefferson County Longrifles this past Weekend ,I told a fellow shooter about the Mule Ear story. He said His Dad was shooting then and remembers the Gun. This is the club that Beryl built The Mule Ear in order to clean their Clocks!! He said that back in those Days it was serious competition!! I shot a little with my Uncle back then and yes, it was all business!! You`ll have to make a trip up there and get a picture taken with the Gun in front of an old building that has Barrell Sink..Gun Maker on it.....

I knew that the Jeff Co. rondy is the reason for the rifle's build. So goes the story that Beryl irritated some folk there by tying a leather thong to the trigger guard and holding it in his teeth to steady the gun for offhand shooting. Supposedly some complaints arose over his method. But there was nothing in the rules specifically against it. So it was allowed and helped him clean those clocks !! I would LOVE to have a pic of that building !!
