keep in mind that because a certain brand works for other dogs, yours may be the exception.
as an example, I have used Purina for 25 + years.
my one Lab had stool problems similar to your dog,I had to switch to Alpo just for her.

I like it alot, my dogs seem to do good on it. They just ran close to 18 miles the other day and they didn't show signs of slowing down so I'll take that. I always look at ingredient lists, this stuff just seems better than anything Purina.

Even though i am feeding my pup the pro plan performance now, it is more of a comparative experiment, not because I am displeased with 4 Health. I would love to still be feeding TOTW but I can't see paying it's price when the ingredient list on 4 health looks almost identical.

**As a side note, I think that Taste of the Wild is also made by Diamond like 4 health. The kibble visually looks close to the same thing (basically same food, different bag??)

I switched to Taste of the Wild during my dogs pregnancy for its quality, grain free, high protein, low waste claims. The price is out of line though. The dogs seem to have just as much waste if not more, and alot more rank smelling. I tried feeding less, because with such a good quality food they don't need to consume as much, or so the company says. Well the hounds got skinnier and I had to feed them more. They love it but what wouldn't a beagle love. I just picked up some 4 Health to try, I didn't know it was that similar to TOTW. We'll see.

Could always try raw feeding.

Both my dogs, 5yr old lab and 11 month old Chessie are on Blue Buffalo. I use the lamb/rice blend and see good results. 22% protein so I watch their feeding amounts when I'm not running them for long periods of time. Little costly but works well.

EVO rd Bites large for me. not to much waste and firm. I have way less cleanup since switching to this

I've been feeding my two labs Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice @ $29 for a 40lb bag. They do very well on it.
The 5 year old gets 1 cup twice a day and the pup gets 2 cups twice a day.

Where do you get it so cheap? There is only one store near me that sells Diamond which is Pets Supplies Plus. I called Agway and it was only $3 cheaper, which isn't worth the drive. I feed Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete and it comes to $43 for a 40lb bad.
