Thanks guys . . . it was nice to tag out early, but I will really miss watching leaves change and fall, animals preparing for winter, and the cool chill on my neck, but I just couldn't let the 8 walk even though I know at least one bigger buck roaming the woods. I can now spend some quality time with the family and maybe, just maybe fight the steelhead crowds in Erie.

Got my first doe with a crossbow Sat. evening.Parker Tornado with red hot arrows and broadheads. Deer traveled 10 yards and that was it. She just folded up. Only downside I was unable to recover my arrow. I was shooting up hill from a ground blind and the arrow past thru and just kept goin.

Got my first crossbow buck today. My largest buck to date. It was a 7 point. Got a complete pass thru. Found the bolt covered in blood and hair. Heard the buck crash. He went about 100 yards. Got to love the Columbus Day! This is my earliest date to be done buck hunting for me. Now I gotta focus on getting my 13 year old a deer. We love early muzzleloader season.
