That would be unlawful
You may not use a food for enticement for deer unless you remove it and its residue 30 days prior to hunting the area.

Your no Fun no more since you became a WCO

Where did he say he was going to hunt over it? Just because your attracting deer dose not mean your hunting them.

To the OP just put out a mineral block.
Where did he say he wasn't??

What badge was blazing? A WCO told him the law- its up to him now to follow it.

beagles, since only the first reply actually attempted to answer the question you asked, i'll add this: I have never heard of kool aid being used as an attractant, however, I have heard of instant pudding mix being used and i know it does work. Give us a little more insight as to your intentions and maybe we can answer the questions as they come up instead of fabricating reasons why you might be asking

So, since it's still long before 30 days until the season starts, it's OK for the OP to whip up a batch of fruit punch and pour it all over a log, right?

Last year, I was out scouting some spots right before archery started and I climbed a potential tree for a stand, but halfway up my canteen, which happened to be filled with grape kool aid, fell off of my belt and spilled all over the ground. Would I be breaking a law hunting from this tree?

I Googled "kool aid for deer". Low and behold there were a number of links that discussed it. Grape is a favorite of deer. They also discussed peanut butter.

Regardless, Lifes2Fun pretty much summed it up for all of us. Not to hard to understand.

Danesdad ---> Yes.
