The Parker City - Allegheny Valley Lodge #521 is having a 10 "gun" raffle. Tickets are $10 each. 1700 total tickets printed. This is a drawing, not based on Pa Lottery (Not my idea, the powers that be set it up). The drawing is open to the public on September 13, 2010 at our Lodge in Parker, Pa. Not an actual "sportsmans night" type event, but we will have some food and beverage there. All guns supplied by Logan's Gun Gallery in North Washington, and he will ship to your FFL. All monies raised will benefit the Masonic Homes and a scholarship we are establishing for a local youth who is seeking vocational education (Trade School).

Prizes:
1. Browning X-Bolt (Wood/Blue)
2. Ruger 77 (Wood/Blue)
3. Weatherby Vanguard (Synthetic/Blue)
4. T/C Omega 25 Ready Pack
5. Weatherby 12ga Pump
6. Remington 870 Express (Wood)
7. Horton HD 150 Package w/ Red Dot
8. Marlin 925 .22LR (Wood/Blue)
9. $300 Visa Gift Card
10. $300 Gift Certificate to Don Paul Jeweler's in Butler, Pa

PM me if interested, I will mail tickets out.

probably the biggest reason is TRUST. is the organization legit? are honest people running the raffle?

do you trust them to only stuff the bucket with the legit # of tickets sold?
do you trust them to conduct the drawing of the winners fairly?
do you trust them to contact you if you've won? (if not local)
do you trust them to deliver your prize in a timely manner?

...etc etc etc.

I think it is easier to rig a "drawing" then it is a "lottery" number.
I only buy raffles that have the lottery number decide the winner.

And it is a shame that people have to think this way but that is what our society has become. There are people out there that prey on the trusting ones.
