If you had a WCO or a DWCO contact you and ask to tag along with you on your trap line and help set and tend, would you be comfortable in what you are doing??
comfortable to take a WCO or DWCO with you on the Trap line??
You may choose only one

How about a Reason for the No Vote so far?

Is it being New to Trapping?
Not very sure of yourself in certain things?

What?

Comments?

I know if it was my Dad, he would say the same thing to the WCO or DWCO that he always said to my Older Brother when he was a Waterways Deputy Protector (Before they were relabled WCOs)

Dad always told my Brother...."If your Going Fishing with me, Leave that duddle bumm dumm ding plinking BADGE AT HOME...We are going Fishing, NOT Catching Guys doing something wrong!"

I personally would not care if the Badge came along, or if he was in Uniform or dressed Head to toe in Pink Pokadots!

interesting question...just confused on it...

not a trapper myself...but interested by the question...

ive driven with a cop in my car...lol

I have 1 that asked me to tag along and I told him sure, why not, I got nothing to hide!

I bought a can of Mustard Sardines and it will be in the bucket going along... he is gonna have to eat half of the can to experiance the Setting and Tending traps with me!
Hopefully he reads this and brings a box of Tollhouse Butter crackers to eat those sardines on...makes them taste just right!

If he does eat some of the Sardines.. I'll have to make sure some how, some day, somewhere in some point in time, it becomes 1 of those little funny field notes found in the game news!

Sure he can come along but he has to skin anything I catch
on that line lol! I would be comfortable with one coming
along because I do everything legally but the only issue I
would have is him getting curious about whether I caught
something or not and checking my sets when I am not there
and contaminating the area with human odors.

I would be very comfortable. I have nothing to hide. Also, it would be a great chance to talk to them 1 on 1 and learn a lot about the PGC.

thing is, if he did go along and EVERYTHING was legit.... he should be happy that you are doing it right, and would have no need to sneak back in and check your traps to see if you caught anything...

I, Personally, ME, Have no care in the world if he comes back and checks up on me!

If he wants to get there ahead of me and check, he has all the rights in the state to do so...he might even do that and I end up with a phone call telling me to hurry up and get to this set for there is a nice catch in it!

Also, there is the deal with....there just might be those in the area that need that little Wake up call...they might see him and KNOW who he is... maybe they will see him and might think they know who he is...and maybe they will not even blink an eye and mess up and we then end up with 1 less Scum in the area....But, him being out and those knowing who he is, will then KNOW he just isn't running around hitting the coffee and doughnut shops and not doing what they try to pass off that None of the WCOs in the State are not supposed to be doing when infact thy ARE!

but, all in all, I like the idea, gives me another chance to really get to know the guy behind the badge, get to know him not as Just the WCO from a certain area and get to know him as a Hunter, Trapper and Fellow Outdoorsman!
