I love the long hairs too. Just hate caring for and maintaining it and really don't have the time for it. With all the fleas, ticks, and crap in the field, I am appreciating the shorthair a little more each year. Particularly if you have more than a few to deal with. Still love to see the shags though.

Its not just the Grouse pointing that the long Hairs excell at they also dance well while celebrating the hunt.

Its not just the Grouse pointing that the long Hairs excell at they also dance well while celebrating the hunt.

Nice of you to hold her gun while she dances.

I know what you mean. I was hunting pheasants up at Martz's on Saturday and my one setters got into some burdock and it was a little ugly getting that stuff out. I even keep them trimmed down!! As usual you dogs are looking very good.

Beautiful dogs pointer...although I have always had setters, there is nothing as "intense" as a pointer on birds.
