I joined, now what?

Hello all,

Last week I (and my son) joined the NWTF. The only thing I got so far is an email telling me that my knife set is being sent to me. I haven't received any other info, yet. Is there anything else that I can do? Is there a certain chapter I should contact? I live in Scranton. Thanks

Vince

Pennsylvania this link lower (right hand corner) of the page should take you to a location on the NWTF website which will allow you to find your local chapter......with that said, please look into the hunting heritage banquets that are upcoming across the state, and the JAKES events that will be occurring throughout the coming months.

Take the time to show some respect for the animals we hunt

Thank you! I found a local chapter and sent out an email. Thanks again.

Yeah, now you can start raising money at the banquets so the big shots in SC can go on super expensive hunts for Gould's and Ocellated turkeys...then they might throw the state a crum or two, somehow they've lost their way and purpose !!!

I sent them a check for a year or two. Realized that I was paying to receive a ton of unwanted advertising for stuff that did not make me a better hunter.

Got more & better info from loaner books at the public library for free. Learned a lot from reading on this board. Got more tips from watching free vids on YouTube.

Now I don't even note what they send. Just goes into the wood burner. At least I am getting some heat from them. What is that saying about a fool (me, then ?) and his (my ?) money???

I have been attending the banquets for the last several years...Have won some guns, other very nice items and purchased some beautiful art work to name a few things. Plus met some nice people, had a good meal and had a good time.

Good to remember supporting the local banquets raises money for National,
BUT some of the money raised can stay in the local area with green sheeted Habitat projects applied for and funded...

It appears as though that PA always gets a large share of the National $$.
