Transporting deer through MD

Does MD have a complete state ban on transporting whole carcasses through the state? ( due to the CWD issue)

Re: Transporting deer through MD

Travelers may pass through Maryland with cervid carcasses, provided that no parts are disposed of or remain in the state.

Re: Transporting deer through MD

thanks PaDingo. I did find out that Allegheny Co is in a CWD restriction, but as you said, the rest of the state is ok. I was asking for a friend from MD with a camp near me here in Pa

I live in Allegany co. Md. and never heard of anything like that. There was a report at Green Ridge last year but never heard anything about this year.

Re: Transporting deer through MD

I found it on the DNR site and another reference site. It showed the CWD area in red and gave the boundaries like roads and such.
