Got news for ya. Rural folks don't have the same trespassing problems surburbanites and city folks do.

Trespass happens every day of the year on every day of the week. Hunting trespass is a fraction of all trespass that takes place in this state. Rural folks are no more "special" than suburban or city folk.

Every recreational activity in this state is legal every day of the week, except hunting, and many are a cause for trespass.

sure DPMS, got any statistics on the number of ATVs rolling across the lawns of Levittown? When is the last time a hunter's stray bullet went bouncing through the lilac out front? When is the last time a couple of kids used an axe to chop down a stranger's back yard tree in Allentown? Or perhaps left the Reading Mayor's back gate open so the cattle could get out? A typical "Half acre Harry" response post. Tell you what. Pass a law that a trespassing hunter get's charged with both misdemeanor trespass and gets an extra penalty for possession of a firearm while committing a crime and that a police officer who fails to investigate/file the charges loses his pension, you can have all the Sunday hunting you want. .

Respectfully, trespass is one of the top three reasons why legalizing Sunday hunting is being opposed. Not sure how you keep a good discussion on Sunday hunting filtered to exclude discussion on trespass.

I'm more concerned over tone and interactions, and when it's on a tangential topic, it bears attention.

I don't care if trespass is discussed within the context of Sunday Hunting. The contest of who deals with the most trespass issues, who knows what statutes, etc is straying a bit from that path.

Civil discussion and making it correlate directly to the OP topic is fine.

Its time for sunday hunting to be legalized. there are only a handful of states 4 or 5 that ban it. if someone wants to do something else on sundays so be it. But why do they insist the rest of the hunters be denied also. Why is it the only way some people seem to be able to float their boat is by sinking someone else's.

Question #1, do people who are against SH really say they will stay home if it was finally passed?

Question #2, would you begrudge another hunter the opportunity to hunt on Sunday just because you do not agree or are "busy" doing something else?

Question #3, Does what another hunter hunting on this day have any bearing on your beliefs?

If you answered No, Yes, Yes. You may be hurting your own cause. If your begrudging another just because your belief says "they should not hunt" on that day.. You are selfish.. Sorry. And also, my point is if anyone restricted you from doing what ever you do on that day, I am sure discrimination would be cried.. But, we are not allowed to exercise our rights to hunt... So is that reverse discrimination?
