We now have 19 guns for attendees to win!! We also have a gun for each Booster Table. 1 lucky winner from each Booster Table of 8 will win a gun!! This will be our best banquet to date, and that's saying something!!

Mike, it was a pleasure to meet you at the banquet. Me and my group had a great time at the banquet and if I am not in Florida next year, I will be attending. Especially, after our group won the Coyote hunt, ATV Spreader and 7mm-08 Kimber rifle. Any suggestions for a lightweight scope.

Thanks Joe

I'd go with a Vortex or Leupold scope for clarity and light weight. That'll be one heck of a rifle!!

We (Susquehanna Branch) want to thank everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, etc to make this another record breaking banquet to raise funds for Research, Education, Advocacy, Certification and Hunting. QDMA has full time lobbyists working on behalf of the resource and full time biologists and habitat specialists working to benefit both game/non-game species and their habitat. Even though the banquet is in the books, we are already planning the 2018 event and are holding another habitat project day on 3/25. The work never ends. Come join us and help make a difference.

Mike, I did go to Gander Mountain and I checked out both of those brands of scopes. The 2 x 7 compact Leupold had better clarity than the 3 x 9 x 40 Vortex. Both were set at 3 power and was only $40 in price difference.

I may hold off on outfitting the Kimber because I already have a Browning A bolt 270 that is lightweight. I want to see how my Winchester 243 with a bull barrel that someone gave me shoots. This gun is over 40 years old and was not really taken care of. I installed a 6-18 -50 Moepa scope on it and my buddy is working up some loads for me for groundhogs. If this gun is not accurate, I will then trade or sell the Kimber for a varmint gun.

Really? I'd move the Browning before the Kimber, but that's just me. 7mm-08 would make a great varmint gun!! I'm working up 110g loads for the .308 Win for just that purpose. Never have enough varmint guns.
