1 ½ lbs moose steak

1 tbsp dry mustard

4 tbsp cornstarch

½ tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

2 tbsp fat

1 cup sliced onions

1 diced carrot

1 cup fresh mushrooms ( whole or diced )

1 ½ cups canned tomatoes

Cut nicks around steaks

Mix mustard, cornstarch, salt and pepper : Rub into steak on both sides, pound into steaks om bpth sides.

Melt fat in cast iron frying pan

Sear steaks on both sides and put in greased casserole pan.

Cover with onions, carrots, mushrooms and tomatoes.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 ½ hours or until meat is really tender.

Ready to serve.
