Pound cake

1/2 lb butter

3 cups sugar

3 cups flour

1 cup sour cream

6 eggs, separated

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp almond extract

1/4 tsp baking soda

Combine flour and baking soda.

Beat egg whites until stiff.

Cream butter with sugar. Add egg yolk gradually. Beat together until mixed well. Add sour cream and extracts. Gradually add flour/baking soda mix. Fold in egg whites.

Bake in greased and floured 10" tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 hour 45 minutes on lower shelf.
